We've created a Google map to help us figure out where everyone lives in Region 8. This will help figure out where good centralized locations are for gatherings, either by state or for the region.

You can view and edit this map at http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=111351104946671118836.000473e0d298c44182527 .

It should be open for anyone with this URL to edit. Please add your city (not your house, city is fine) and label the pin with your forum name. You can add your real name in the description IF YOU WANT (not required).

You will have to log in as a Google User to edit the map (I believe).

I actually have made it available for everyone, not just R8.

To make another, when you go to Maps.Google.com there is a link toward the top left that says "My Maps". That's where you go to make one. The first time I went there was a little instructional video somewhere.

Holy cow. The map is taking off. Sister Wolf, you should turn Jack onto this. I bet if we get a mention this will just explode.

Turq1, what about this weekend? I am going to go tramp around the family farm where I'm going to be hunting in the next few weeks to get the lay of the land. Other than that and possibly going out to find a place to blow crap up (Tannerite) I got no plans this weekend. PM me.

there is an edit button on the upper left of the map

Since we opened the map up to the whole TSP membership we have over 100 pins on the map. I'd like to see Region 8 dominate this map. If you aren't already pinned, please go add yourself to the map. This map will really help us plan local and regional gatherings, and I like it when Jack mentions us.

We're up to 112 people on the map. With over 3600 members I think we should easily be able to triple this number...

Any chance we can get Jack to mention this thread in a 'cast to raise awareness?
