Hello, from Southwest Washington State. I only discovered TSP about two years ago and I have been all in since. However, I am not new to the prepping/self-reliance/survival community. I grew-up in the foot hill of the Cascade Mts. of Oregon and was taught from young age to work with what you got and always go into the world prepared. In 2002, I joined the Army after being dissatisfied with my first career as Maintenance Mechanic and I am still serving today. It wasn't until 2008 during the "the crash" that I really started prepping and search out all the online content that I could consume. Unfortunately, a lot of what I consumed was counter to what I was taught which led to wasted time and money. So over the last ten years I have gone from Doomsday/tin hat prepper back to more inline with what Jack preaches. Another limiting factor has been my serves in the Army, having to move ever 3 or so years makes it really hard to be self-reliance hence, my handle Nomad-76. My family and I have lived in South Korea, Texas, Washington, Nevada, and back in Washington. That doesn't include all my deployments and overseas training exercises. Don't get me wrong, I only mentioned this so guys can understand my perspective on things. With that said, in 2016 my family and I moved back to Washington and bought a wonderful home on 5 acres. Since then we have been working on developing it into a homestead, which is no easy task. In closing, I am looking to learning from you all and if you're interested you can check out my small YouTube channel by searching Nomad-76.
