Apples. My Honeycrisp did gangbusters this year.

Sooooo jealous. My three little hazelnut trees are still several years away from production.

They go quicker than you'd think. Maybe a genetic thing where by the time you realize how unsightly a shrub they are they produce nuts and all is forgiven.

I hope that is true... all my nut trees have been attacked this summer by japanese beetles. While they are surviving, they aren't getting the type of growth I'd like to see.

Bell peppers finally kicked in.  Everything else is dying out.
Green beans for seeds.
Red jalapenos for seeds

I had to harvest all the delicate fruits before the frost last night.  I picked cucumbers, dill, tomatoes, cucamelons, ground cherries, spaghetti squash, bell peppers, jalapeños, cucuzzi, and zucchino rampicante.  This year’s garden has been the best ever.  And it’s a good thing that I picked all that; it was 27 degrees this morning.

My peppers are doing very well now that it is almost fall lol.

I have planted my lettuces, spinach, radishes, another batch of purple basil, turnips and rutabagas... my cabbages didn't do well, only one still growing. getting ready to plant garlic and onions very soon... bed is prepped.

I still have two watermelons ripening on the vines from my late planting. And I'm still getting tomatoes every day, too. My parsley is being eaten up by the swallowtails and I don't have the heart to evict them. I do need to dry some more oregano, sage and thyme before the frost hits.

Yes, odd about the peppers. These bell plant sat there all summer, small, barely hanging on, no flowers, then bang. They grew up, flowered, and are producing decent sized peppers. No huge nor big like they should, but decent. 2-3" tall.

Yes, I have a lot of jalapenos growing all at once, plus some nice purple and green bell peppers as well as the super hot chinese peppers and paprika. I need to get the dehydrator going...

Picked the last of the peppers. I pulled the plants even though they are still flowering. Freeze will probably do them in in a few days.

I dug up most of the sweet potatoes... a couple of plants that were planted later are still left... Not a bad harvest for my first try.

I need to be digging ours up. Just lack of time right now.
