I know I'm late on this, but there are more prohibited places than what are on your list. School sporting events, amusement parks, professional sporting events, any business with a 51% sign*, any business with a 30.06 or 30.07 sign**, and IIRC, churches are only prohibited if a 30.06/30.07 sign is posted. There have apparently also been changes to the law regarding carry on the premises of a school and/or school parking lot.
*The 51% sign is required to be prominently posted at the entrance of a business that derives 51% or more of it's income from the sale of alcoholic beverages for
on site consumption. This means you can't carry in a bar, for example, but a restaurant that also serves alcoholic drinks is fine if there isn't a 51% sign. That said, be sure to look carefully. My wife and I ate dinner at a local establishment that apparently didn't read the law/understand it and posted the signage incorrectly...I was nearly done with my meal before I noticed the signage. We never went back, though the food was excellent. A liquor store would only be prohibited to carry in if there was a 30.06 or 30.07 sign posted.
** A 30.06 sign refers to Section 30.06 of Texas Penal Code and concerns concealed carry. The law is very specific as to the text, wording, color, and placement of signage
required to be posted if a business owner wants to legally prevent concealed carry on the business premises. 30.07 is the open carry equivalent.
