Sounds like a club that was having an under 21 event. When I was a teenager, every under 21 establishment in the city was a mess of immature drama. Shootings were fairly rare though (I can think of at least once during the years I was in high school).

Austin TX active shooter in the entertainment district in early morning hours of July 31, 2016. 1 dead 4 or 5 wounded shooter still loose. Police say shooting has ended but stay out of the entertainment district as roadways are part of the crime scene.

Alpine Texas high school shooting. The High School and Middle School are in Lockdown. There are confirmed injuries but no details out yet.

I was listening for 30 minutes before it was on the local news.

As info Burlington is about 90 minutes north of me.

Law enforcement sound like stumble f---s on the scanner. Guess they are overwhelmed

I think they have him in custody, but the whole area around the Starbucks (even Walmart about 1/4 mile away) was told to shelter in place.

Jay and I were getting gas when we saw a whole bunch of PD go flying by with lights and sirens. SWAT was called, for obvious reasons.

It's less than a mile from my house and in a usually peaceful middle class suburb.

Placed a backpack in the doorway of a local Starbucks and said it was a bomb. Shots fired, and it's not clear what transpired with regard to that. Someone got a chest wound, but again, it's not clear who because they said there was a suspect walking out with what appeared to be no injuries.

That is a serious pickle. Imagine if they were unable to complete voting and/or certifying of ballots for the state of CA. That's like a quarter of the country (is it 55?)

Yep, it's 55. Next closest is Texas I think with something like 35 or 39.
