GMO'S IN BEER?

First off, I am self-proclaimed problem beer drinker. I drink 12-18 per day and mostly Bud b/c I love the taste without the hangover or digestive upsets. I am 48 years old, look 30 fi I shave and am an avid workout enthusiast. Oh, did I mention I eat very clean-most of the time. my diet is mostly fat and protein with little starches. Never sweets. My problem isn't sugar, its beer!!   I don't plan on stopping but am sort of worried about the potential harmful effects of GMOS since my beer of choice is BUD.  Any thoughts? I tried emailing dr. greg eillis but haven't gotten response in months.   Thanks, Mark

Budweiser contains genetically modified (GMO) rice.

And most cereal grains, while not GMO, are sprayed with glyphosate right before harvest to dry down (kill) the crop on schedule for when the harvest crew will be available.

Ugh, I never thought about GMO beer.

But thinking about "craft brews" the brewers that I know personally have nothing in their beer except barley, water, hops and yeast.  I don't think there are any approved GMO barley seeds yet.  Same goes for hops.

So I would think that sticking to craft brewers that are "purists" and you can avoid GMOs. 

Sound right?

Of course wheat beers and add ins would be a different story.

Go Organic.  Conventional grain can still have pesticide and glyphosate.
