The most important lesson that I got out Lights Out was the importance of working together and cooperating with your neighbors, to draw on the varying strengths that each individual brought to the table. Before reading it, I think we tended to think in isolationist terms about our own emergency preps and plans. Not anymore. We're making a better effort to get to know our closest neighbors. Great book. I look forward to the print version.

I'm reading Lights Out for the second time, eighteen months and alot of prepping after the first time I read it. It's well worth it. Luckily I downloaded the whole thing a long time ago. I would still buy the hardcopy, which my husband might read. I'd even buy an audio version.

I haven't read "Lights Out" yet, but I an definitely looking forward to it.

It seems like I read somewhere that Mr.Crawford posted that they were trying to get the book out around Thanksgiving...
so I'm hoping it'll be pretty soon.

As mentioned the book is now available in hard copy on Amazon, David is a really good guy and fan of TSP. If you have the extra cash buy a copy just to support him. He did give it away in PDF for years...

Is amazon the only place selling it? I went to the local book store today to order it and they could not find any listing for it. I would really like to support a local store, more than Amazon.

Since the publisher is listed on Amazon as Halffast Publishing and Halffast is David Crawford's online username, I'm assuming it's self published and you'd need to get it either from Amazon or directly from David himself. If enough people are interested, maybe Sis Wolf could order a few copies to sell in the store. If she ordered 25 or more she'd probably get enough of a discount to make it competitive with the Amazon price, and I'd rather support her and TW.

I got the PDF and need to buy the book.

I totally recommend this book. Seriously. Spend a couple bucks (it's Christmas after all) and get this. It will motivate you to prep. And keep you motivated. It could save your life. Not many inexpensive Christmas gifts can say that.

Nice thing is it is only 8 Bucks. My hard copy just showed up, (snoopy dance) but I am getting the kindle version as well. Even though I have the PDF a PDF that big just isn't practical on a kindle.

Just wondering if you get more royalties if I buy the book direct from the publisher (I'm guessing it's self-published?) vs buying it from Amazon. I know I can probably get it faster from Amazon, but I'd like to support you by doing whatever is going to have the most benefit to you.

But seriously so far I haven't noticed any variation from the PDF version. I guess I would have to do a side by side comparison to be sure tho.
