Do tell about the Spring Rally. I am here in Indiana and home boss (wife) did say I can have one. There were lots of conditions and stipulations (I somewhat listened) but I can have one. would be nice to go and see all the possibilities.

For people coming over from ZS wondering why I nuked all the pics and info from the message board over there, here is the reason.

Politics are part of prepping as they affect all of us. To not allow us to discuss how the current administration is fucking us over is a dis-service to the prepper community.

Anyway. I have processed about 35 gallons of used motor oil and hope to be picking up another hundred gallons to add to my fuel storage.

And another snow pic. I am really hoping this is the last one for a while.

At this point I am in the process of stocking it with food and other goods so there is less time needed to get it rolling. Planning several camping trips this summer with it to work out any bugs I might find and to see what supplies I need to put in it to make it more "complete"

So here we go.

5.5 gallons of oil. Two filters and the bonus is I can filter the oil and use it as fuel.

draining it to the 35 gallon bucket

one filter off and getting ready to refill with new oil

Might have to come up with a better way of getting the oil in there as lifting a 5 gallon bucket and not spilling (even with a funnel) is challenging

oil is in and about to put on the second oil filter

Got everything buttoned up and she runs great.

Drilled the hole on the exhaust fan. It was the easiest place to mount the camera with the least number of problems.

Hole on the inside for the cable to pass.

Got the camera installed. I used rivets to attach the mount. Not shown is the hole sealed up.

Monitor on the inside of the van. I need to get a splitter so I can also use it in the cab. That and I have to get 12v up there.

Right now the wiring is a bit of a mess and I have yet to wire in a switch to activate it. So for now I have to manually connect the system to one of the 12v batteries I keep back there.

Good field of view and should work for both backing up and for seeing who might be around the back while camping.
