Beware fake Ron Paul NORFEDS

I just ran across some fake Ron Paul NORFEDS and wanted to show the differences so nobody gets scammed.

The obverse of these coins is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. However, the reverse is another story. Instead of "Vote For Truth" above the torch it reads "One Dollar". The fakes also weigh only 11 grams even though they say they're one AV oz, and the real ones weigh 28.35. I suspect the fakes are coming from China.

Please beware of what you're buying. The real ones go for up to $70. The fakes are worth bullion value at around 65 cents.

Amazing.  I wouldn't have believed anyone would ever fake an item like this.

You'd think, if you're going to counterfeit something, you wouldn't make "that big" of a difference between the two.

I actually spoke with someone very close to Bernard Von NotHaus, the former Mint Master at NORFED. The thought now is they are NOT from China, but someone else is putting these out. The NORFED people who are under injunction are mad as hell about this. It has me wondering if this is being done to set them up before trial (if there even is one). The rounds are very high quality. Too high quality for Chinese knock offs. I'll post as I find out more.
