We sat thru it yesterday.  The cause(s) of the disaster are not made clear.  The places and actions of the characters do not come across to us as believable.

I think you are looking for "so so" which means "not good, but not quite horrific"

"So and so" can be a general reference to a person who you cannot recall or can be intended to be somewhat derisive if the person is known to you by name.

yep...thanks for that. we use "So and so" ("etsi k etsi") over here in place of your "so so".

Now regarding the plausibilty of the characters.
Aren't we biased, expecting too much of them?
What a former, non-prepper, marine and a young business guy do in real life?

@ Greekman: I agree that we could expect stupid actions from a lot of people in a crisis... but I truly think that in itself isn't worth spending any time watching. We can watch the effects of people making stupid decisions on the news every evening.

It appeared to be a pretty low-budget, poor script, no description of what the disaster that caused everything was, implausible characters, yada yada. And the only character who gives even an idea of what might have occurred happens in the last bit of the movie and is a complete nutroll, who is ready to kill over a woman he met about 5 days ago?

Sorry... just makes me annoyed that I wasted my time. You know, sometimes you keep watching, hoping it will get better... it never did.

Time when the 3 year old is asleep is way too valuable. And that many people can't be wrong. But I get it. It's on topic and the genre is generally HORRIBLE so it's a low bar (or high if you're playing limbo).

I appreciate hearing of it and I'll toss it in some watchlists in case it gets linked to other prepper films.

Greekman: I don't know if you are aware but us Americans generally have no idea what is made outside our border. A Euro made film in this genre might be a rreal eye opener for us. It's very hard for those of us who enjoy foreign films to get solid recommendations.
