Shasta county for me. Looking for other locals of the same mind as me. Hard to believe I can't find more TSP people around.

They're probably around, but a lot of people keep a low profile. Stick around for awhile and I'm sure you'll meet some locals.

Thanks. I have spent several years trying to be low key. Doesn't seem to help much. Community is the key to success.

Also, you can pin on the map somewhere in the county you live in, doesnt need to be your actual property, then if someone wonders if you live anyweres near them, they can check and see

For example, I live in California, and since your profile says you live in Southern Jeferson, I know you dont live in Southern Ca or the SF bay area, (at least not close in.....) but many people have not heard of a concept of jeferson and its theoretical bounderies are nebulous

The is for the suggestion. I did put a pin in the map for Shasta County, which encompasses my general area.

Different map. The region 8 map isnt the one I meant. If you edit your profile, there is a map, that way if you are talking about something interesting etc.... in a post, someone clicking on your name will then see what part of the country you are in.

That is what I was getting at. No one is going to invite the new guy with < 10 posts over for a beer. Nothing personal, but most people care about OPSEC, but not to the exclusion of community.

No problem! We're all here for similar reasons (and many different ones) and we love to help each other out and get to know each other. I've many people on here I would consider to be friends, even though I don't know their real names and I would invite them over at a moment's notice if I found out they were nearby.

Hmmm... I must've missed this thread before.  I guess I'll sound-off from the Boise-area in Idaho.

I'm new to the forums but a Northern California native. Looking for like minded folks in Northern California. Somebody mentioned the State of Jefferson earlier in the thread, I drive through it a couple times a week. Signs up and down highway 99.

Hi y'all, I'm just starting into the forum, though I've listened to Jack and TSP for going on a year now. I also am in the great state of Jefferson, hoping it happens soon so my wife and I can raise our family in a free state! We're in Yuba County living with my in-laws but hoping to find our own place sooner than later.

Welcome! Nice to see someone else from the mythical state of Jefferson. Best of luck on your journey to a better life. I don’t post on the forum much but there is a lot of great stuff here.

You're waaaaaay up North.
I'm closer to San Jose.

I feel like I'm alone here most of the time too, but I've gotten used to it over the last 3 years that we've lived here.
Sometimes I like to delude myself by thinking that anyone looking at me wouldn't guess what's in my (edc) bag, so maybe their bags are full of useful stuff too.  I look very normal.  I'm not gray...I'm more of an Olive green with purple accents ;)
Ultimately, I'm happy with who I am, and if people are happy with who they are, that's enough for me.

I am also not very far from San Jose, in the greater SF Bay area influenced region

Reno, NV here! I don't think there's anyone else on the forum nearby (I don't really count Vegas since it's like 7 hours away).

Yes, everyone just keeps quiet out here. I keep hoping maybe someday I will hear Jacks voice coming from someone’s else’s car stereo.
