Homesteading in Plano.

With about a <3 hour drive for almost everyone, a roundup in College Station might make sense in the spring.  Any takers?

I would be interested but this afternoon I got a phone call from the Department of the Army Human Resource Command giving me a warning order that I am being recalled to active duty.  I just retired from the Army on October 1, 2008.  I guess that someone never really retires from the Army after all.  During my retirement briefing they were calling my retirement compensation "retainer pay".  That is bad news for my near term plans....but some pretty decent pay.  I guess that I will be back in two years or so.

Homesteading in Plano.

Plano here, also, and new. Maybe we need a Plano thread!

And Halffast, I have you to thank for a few late nights, including one till 0500 to finish that book of yours.

"Lights Out" was great, thank you very much for writing it!

Where can I read more of your stuff?

Thanks.  Glad you enjoyed it.  I'm sorry about the late nights.  I have a few invested in it too.  ;)

Here are two of the stories I'm working on.  One is close to finished and the other is just starting.  Let me know what you think if you decide to read them.

We did have an Alsups and they do have the best burritos you can get, that aren't made by little old Mexican ladies.

Those small town places always have the best food!  Wife's hometown has a DQ, but we still prefer the taco shacks.  =-D

Hello, all.  Just wanted to see who here was from Texas.  I imagine this will eventually lead to regional/state boards, but I thought I'd get this rolling.

If anyone in or coming to the Austin area, I'll be willing to meet up for a beer or whatever.  =-]

I'm a 32 yr old guy from North Austin just learning and preparing for an economic collapse. I have two coworkers that are preparing as well and it's good to find more Austin people.

40 yr old family man with 3 kids and a wonderful wife.

We just moved to Austin this past year and we couldn't have made a better decision!!

I am looking to meetup with some Austinites to collaborate on local locations and supplies.

I have downloaded the last 15 podcasts and I am catching up.  My goal is to listen to all of them.  It is weird to hear an old one make predictions and know the predictions were correct.  Spooky.

Thanks!
