Triode tube fabrication video

I was going through some old files and came across this one http://dailymotion.virgilio.it/video/x3wrzo_fabrication-dune-lampe-triode_tech Even though it is all in French, you get the idea of how he makes these tubes. It is a bit of a long video, but still pretty cool to watch him make these.
A small crystal radio set in a protected Faraday Cage would be a good hedge against EMP taking out your ability to receive AM and SW broadcasts from emergency transmissions after a pulse would knock out other un-protected equipment.
