Moldable silicon for repairs?
« on: June 29, 2010, 05:15:23 PM »
I just heard about this today; I hope this is the right subject area.

Sugru is a moldable, self-curing silicone that sticks to a lot of materials and remains flexible when dry. The blog has posts from users who've used it to hack or repair all kinds of things, from loose electrical cords and old shoes to creating handles for handicapped people. I've ordered some to play with and will let you know how it goes (I have no association with this company; it just looks like a really useful thing to have in your bag, if it works as advertised).

The blog is at http://sugru.com/

BTW, if I don't post again for a few days...Happy Independence Day to you all!
