Who has had the greatest impact on the sport of bow hunting

(1/3) > >>

Just a fun little poll to get the bow forum off the ground,  ;)  Everyone knows it is Fred Bear!

Fred Bear all the way. Noone else is close.

I have no idea who Fred Bear is.

I've never been bow hunting in my life and when I read the subject of this post I thought "Fred Bear". Growing up a lot of guys I knew were bow hunters and I overheard the name many times.

I have also heard the song. :)

DrGonzo, let me challenge you on that.  If you know the Nudge you know this song,  listen to every word and watch the vid.

You owe it to yourself to learn about Fred.  That song Ted wrote shortly after Fred's death and in his own words from his book, "God, Guns and Rock and Roll" stated he played it for the first time to anyone other then himself, "over the phone in tears to Fred's widow".  With out Fred there would be no Ted.

Yep this thread was a trap.  ;)  See if you don't get chills this time from a song you probably have heard "many times before".

"We're not alone when we're in the great outdoors
We got his spirit, we've got his soul
He will guide our steps, he'll guide our arrows home
The restless spirit forever roams"
I guess I have ruined the poll now but could not help it.
