If anyone is interested in joining a great community garden in Austin, the one I'm at currently has a very short waiting list to get a plot. Historically, our waiting list has been much longer, with wait times commonly in the six-to-eight-month range before getting an available plot, but currently the wait is much shorter (about a month or so). The garden is three acres, with about 200 plots, available in three sizes: 20 ft x 20 ft, 10 ft x 20 ft, and 10 ft x 10 ft.
