Getting friends involved

Hi, new guy here....

I love the idea of 13 skills and wanted to get some friends involved with it. They all live in the SF Bay Area so needed to modify it a bit so they did not look at me like my head was on sideways. I couldn't say I got this cool idea from a survival site without a ton of questions I did not want to answer. Thankfully My SO was on board with it and knew what I was up to. She is cool that way.

So this weekend I presented them the idea of learning new skills at a wine festival in Napa and much to my surprise, all 7 of us are on board for 2014!

This should be a fun trip! Wish me luck.......

Ha ha! Not yet but Kat has talked to me about making a press tho. A square box with slats and a bottle jack should work great as a juicer. Wine grapes are easy to come by out here. Might have to make a small still and make wine spirits with some of it. I call it "Redneck WD40", you can clean car parts with it or drink it! Wine vodka is a new thing for us in the valley, might have to make some.
