Hi from the border of Ontario and Quebec in Abitibi Canada in zone 2. We have a small homestead on our 100 acres where we have chickens, rabbits, two dogs and an ever growing garden of perennials. It's tough meeting like minded people in this area. Married with 4 kids and pushing to be as self sufficient as possible. I'm a Perma Ethos founding member and supporter of some of Paul's projects too.

Hi I am Mark,

Served in the Navy in San Diego for 23 years chasing submarines around the Pacific. Currently working full-time and commuting an hour plus each way to work.

I owe a lot to the podcast and the videos posted for MSB members, I am very grateful.

My wife and I purchase what I call Scuttlebutt Farm : "A place where people come together to learn, grow, and share." It is located in Isle of Wight County Virginia. We just moved in, July 2017, so I have a lot of work to do but even an elephant can be eaten in bites. I have just under 4 acres and I have a couple barns, a former barbershop and HV power lines with about an acre of easement, but I'm gonna make it a producer.

Hey everyone,

I'm Joe from East Texas and I've been on my homestead for 2 years. I'm a retired military and really enjoying gardening and managing livestock (pigs, chickens, rabbits, turkeys, and dairy goats) full time. The Survival Podcast is great resource and I've listened to Jack's humble beginning with Episode 1 - 253 (still working on the rest of the archive) and current episodes. I guess it's finally time to check out the forum and so far I'm very impress with all the useful contents.

I need to reintroduce myself, Statesofmind has been my username. I've been a longtime follower of Jack and TSP, but drifted away for a couple of years due to huge work schedule and time constraints.
I've had several past threads here regarding my "bug out bus" and subsequent "the bus has landed" homestead thread here in Maine.

As I reacquaint myself with a forum I see that Photobucket links are no longer open without a paid subscription. Bummer... as I have much new content to share. You can get some updated information from my Facebook page under Northwoods Homesteading

Is there any other way to post photos on this forum other than Photobucket??

I have found a GMAIL account will include GOOGLE DRIVE and you can link to folders in your GOOGLE DRIVE to host fotos yourself AND FOR FREE until you add 100 Gig more to the size of the drive for $20 a year...worth a look.

I am from Tasmania (Australia) and stumbled across this forum while reading a book by Glen Tate. I am a father of 4 who wants to see my kids have the skills and knowledge to survive when things go pear shaped. I am new to this kind of mind set so have a lot of catching up to do.

I go by Lumpy, am a Canadian (don't hold that against me please, LOL)living in KY and working as Plant Manager for automotive.
Previous careers: tool and die maker (nothing I can't build

)and Police officer. Was an outdoor wilderness instructor in my late 20's and have forgotten most of that knowledge.
Looking forward to getting back into the prepper/survival mindset that has escaped me.

DANGER,DANGER,Will Robinson...while Facebook is in the news today for having some data stolen...I remember ,just a few years ago...that Facebook got into some trouble for SELLING ALL of 'their' data to the Obama administration...remember?
