Even if you aren't personally willing to sign up, check out the website and share it within your social networks. I kinda expected a slough of people from the coast to sign up given that they have experienced SHTF in a very real way. Getting the word out is a) important and b) difficult if people don't take action.

OK, OK, I'll get on it.   ::)  Didn't get around to the CAC episode until last weekend, it's on my list.  Give me a few days, maybe a week.  I'm in, I'm just moving slowly on some things.

I WILL DEFINITELY BE ONBOARD BY NEXT HURRICANE SEASON!  No, really, it's just been a hectic month, I'll get there.

And yes, you are right about this.  And I need to stop being Mr. Bad Example.

I moved, with my parents, in 1972 to the Shreveport area...but lived in Destrihan (New Orleans) in the early 90's,for a few years. I am back near Shreveport and well rooted with a house ,a DAWG,and a nearby BOL that people dream of...the Peppermint Mine. Stage 4 cancer has hold of me now...How does one prep for that?

The Region VI Coordinator (LA, TX, AR, OK, NM) is Taylor Sansing. Email available on cacteam.com
As I said above, I'm Region IV (i.e., Dixie east of the MS River minus VA + KY).

It takes a few days for us to get a few people and send out info. Taylor is pretty on top of it.

The last count I saw for the WHOLE group was between 150-200. That was the first week we launched. I have gotten more than 10 since then and am over 40 for Region IV. From what I've seen on our Map the largest groups are Region IV, VI, & VII.

averaging about four per state. not bad at all I must say. our situation in south Louisiana is unique in geographical terms but one on the north side and one on the south side of the lake is strategically awesome!!!

your daily habits that seem insignificant in the doing, when compounded over time, add up to the difference between failure and success.

how do I put this as my quote everytime?

Go to account page. Then modify profile. Yeah I'm curious to see where everyone in LA is located. I wonder if I'm the furthest south.

So I had my interview with cac regional coordinator Taylor. He's a cool dude. And yes I am the furthest south in Louisiana. As of now it's only a woman in Dirider. Hopefully I'll be accepted. Come on y'all we need to step up and be available for our neighbors.

Guys,
I've been totally out of pocket for a while. I'm actually living in NOLA all summer. So I'd appreciate any of you down there reaching out. Just PM me and we can get in touch IRL.

Even lemon pepper will not make them taste good...But I have not seen them around in several years here in Shreveport area. This page has a virus alert that I just reported if you get a warning,it appears fairly safe though.

I think I found it and fixed it.  AngusBangus's domain expired, and he had images in his signature that were hosted there, and apparently this causes some sort of redirect to q.dreniq.com which is blacklisted by some virus scanners.

Let me know if you see any more problems.

We lost ducks some years ago,but vultures rarely kill that I know of...a brown eagle was taking ducks heads off and often just leaving the kill.
The game warden said the eagle was an endangered species...and he was right. We have a 125 or so ducks on a lake, most are wild ,but approachable as we incubate eggs found on the shore.

Either way ,it can be a problem.
