And there was. And it was good.

See the top where it says "Chat(5)" (or however many folks are in chat)? The log in info is your forum login info.

You can also see the users currently in chat at the very bottom of the forum homepage, right below where it shows who is online.

You coulda done that before, chemsoldier! we had a chat, it just wasn't attached to the forum.

I've heard that you can access the chat on both the iphone and the android platforms as well as all OS's that have been tested.

Note: If your TSP Forum Username has spaces in it, you will need to replace those spaces with underscores if the chat room asks you to login.

For example, my username on the forum is Sister Wolf. My login for the chat is Sister_Wolf

Want to be sure that as many people have access to the chat as may possibly want access!

Just to elaborate on this...

If you're already logged into the forum, and you click on "Chat" up there at the top, you should automagically be logged into chat, and your username will get _underscores_ inserted in place of spaces as needed.

I tried to log on yesterday with the old chat name and password. Kept bouncing back. Apparently it doesn't take much to confuse me.

Figured it out today. Do I still have ban hammer privileges?

At the moment, the Chat Moderators from the old chat have no special privileges in the new chat. We're not sure whether there's a way to implement that.

Chat will love you after you've made a few more posts here.

(We like to give spammers and troublemakers a chance to identify themselves before letting them loose in the chat room, so there's a small minimum postcount required for access.)

Gloss, they keep telling me that chat goes in cycles. Hopefully, as it gets colder and darker here in N. America, more folks will find the time to chat. Keep checking, or just sign in and wait - the chat tab on your browser will start acting up when someone else posts, so you can be surfing somewhere else with no problem.

You'll get to meet some great people (and a few "characters") from all over the world. My problem with chat is learning how far I can push Mrs. s when she starts complaining that "it's dark-thirty in the morning - say good night ALREADY!!!"

but I will prob be on again as it gets less busy outside.

2012 has been a rough year for many of the regulars in chat, including myself. When the light starts slipping away, and the expos start winding down, I'll be here a LOT more than I am right now. I think it's probably fair to agree with everybody else that most of the regulars will also be around more.

It's been a long, warm, productive and eventful summer.... And it's almost over. Winter is coming!

as soon as i hit chat the log in info comes up and says
You can't access the chat.
that's before i log in so i try and it says the same thing. is there any way to fix it?
