Beretta 84 problems

(1/1)

archer:
I have a Beretta 84 that I inherited that I am having problems with (I know, it's a smaller round, but I cannot buy something larger now. And cannot sell it for sentimental reasons).
It shoots well, but when I try to take it apart it seems that the spring is getting stuck in the slide mechanism and I cannot get the slide off. I had it apart about a year ago to clean it and it went back together easily. (I know, I don't get out and shoot it enough). Anyone have any experience like this? I expect I'll have to take it to a shop to get it fixed.

No sense writing when someone else already explained it: http://www.pistolworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=1923  Try that, see if that helps. Heed the "be careful" warning.  Wouldn't want you to go from inop to broke.

archer:
Thanks millerized1! That is exactly what is happening. I'll give that a try.

Might look for parts here once you get 'er apart: http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=1150z84%20CHEETAH&MC=

Good folks, been dealing with them before Christ enlisted ;)
