Recommended books or sites for NFP/birth control without hormones?
Aniera:
I feel a little like I am jumping in over my head, but I have decided to finally stop taking birth control pills and go hormone free. I have been on them for quite a number of years now with what I thought were no real ill effects, but after getting some blood work done, have found out they are definitely compromising my gut immune system and all. And really I have been feeling pretty hypocritical about myself since I have been trying to reduce plastic and hormone ladden meats from my life while still taking them. Also I don't think a copper IUD would work out for me since I am looking to start having kids next year. My husband who is a bit more excited to start a family said we should just start trying right away... and yeah I am not so keen on that since I would like to get my gut immune back in order before we start popping out kids (sorry ;) honey). I think after some quick forum research NFP or something is the way to go. Anyways so my question is (after a bit of rambling) does anyone have any books or sites that they found were helpful for learning to start going pill free using NFP?

Hi there!
One that I've found useful is "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, and the accompanying website/forums at http://www.tcoyf.com - there are good resources on the website and the women on the forums are very knowledgeable.
If you have a smartphone, there are some wonderful apps out there too to help with tracking - I like Clue http://www.helloclue.com/ or iCycleBeads http://www.cyclebeads.com/period-tracker-app but there are lots of good options available for both iPhone and Android. I believe there are some good desktop applications to help with charting too, though I haven't explored those as much.
Hope that helps a bit, good luck! :)
