I was clearing the garden and stumbled upon a skull. I'm hoping some of you guys can ID it for me. The teeth look like they are pushing out old ones to be replaced. I'm thinking it's an herbivore.

The teeth do tend to speak herbivore or possible an omnivore. Skull size is hard to judge without some kind of reference.
Your general location would help with the ID as well. The large eye sockets would tend to make me think the animal is nocturnal.

I'm in Maryland. I'll get another pic with something for scale tomorrow.
-
Whatever it is, it's teeth are in better shape than mine
-
Seems to be an omnivore, honestly. Did you eventually find out what it was or not? Found the thread and it really got me interested.
-
Nope, still don't know what it was.
-
By the way, I'm pretty sure it's a sheep skull. :-)
-
Well that would be weird. There's no farmers with sheep for at least a 5 mile radius.

I agree, but part is broke off ( -- or goat ? but one of the two )
-
Yes, seems to be sheep or goat with parts missing.
