Title: Colt Signature Series Cylinders
Post by: Marine 1 on March 13, 2017, 12:56:10 PM
I recently purchased a Colt Signature Series 1851 Navy in 36 Cal.  I would like to find a spare cylinder but so far without success. Does anyone know if any of the other manufacturer models are interchangeable, such as Uberti, Pietta ?

Perhaps checking with this company would help, they do a lot of black powder stuff:

The problem is that a cylinder must index properly as the do not just drop in and work even though early Colts and clones do have a certain lack of tolerance that may make it a drop in or minimal fitting required job.

Thanks for the input...I'll give them a shot.  I can always return it if it does not index properly.
