EMT: USAF / RED HORSE specific equipment - Expresso Machine, Tactical: A compact, man - portable device used for the steam brewing of coffee, the steaming of milk, etc. in an austere or field environment.
The EMT device weighs approx. 1 kG, and occupies an area of approx. 1 ft3. The mechanism is externally powered by 110/120 VAC and serviced with Grade 100% Colombian coffee or higher.
While often thought to be primarily of MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreational) value, the primary purpose of the EMT is two - fold: firstly, the end product of the device is a mild to moderate stimulant known to induce peak mental efficiency in those Horsemen whose tasking precludes incorrect or less than timely decisions and / or actions; and secondly, to figuratively stick it in the eye of non - RED HORSE Airmen or other branches of the armed forces who like to think they know how to live in the field.
First hand experience indicates that there is nothing more satisfying than a Jamacan Blue Mountain Latte sipped from a canteen cup at the end of a long day moving dirt.
