Studfinders

Howdy all!

I am an electrician.

I was sailing the high seas of interwebery and I came across a studfinder unit called the Walabot. I know noone that has one and the reviews are not so good.

My knock on the wall with my knuckle method of stud detection works as well as any cheap studfinder. However  due to more crap installed in the walls of homes an businesses I thought the before mentioned unit would be a good addition to my tool loadout. That one doesn't get great reviews but I'm wondering if there are other units out there that perform better.

Any advise or good tools anyone can recommend?

I picked up an electronic one, Tavool, off of Amazon. $28 so pretty cheap. I am satisfied with it, as it seems to be pretty accurate and intuitive to use. Has a deep mode, and another mode that looks to be for finding steel or something.
Now does it work better than a basic ones? Seems to for me, but that could just be due to me not using those correctly.
