Storing Powdered Bouillon

I recently purchased 3 35.3oz jars of powdered bouillon. Chicken, beef and tomato. It was a significant saving over the same quantity in smaller containers. Of course now I had to ask myself how I was going to store the stuff since it won't get used quickly. Well the chicken might but the others not so much. Checking my stash of jars I found some 32 oz. pickle jars that a regular mouth canning jar lid fit. I could have just used pint canning jars but didn't want to. I tried vacuum sealing an empty jar and glory be it worked so now the plan is to put the pantry supply in the little plastic jars and the rest in the pickle jars and seal probably with O2 absorbers inside. These jars.

  The vacuum jars should do OK,better to avoid light exposure and temperature changes and should be good for 3 or more years ...watch for signs of any 'growth' and odd smells as the product can ,and will,degrade over time ....even in the best of conditions. Light and moisture are major problems to protect against.

Agree and that's why I thinking O2 absorbers also. Hydrogen in the atmosphere, it won't be a total vacuum, and O2 equal moisture. Sound reasonable anyway.

Oh for the shelves I can just reach in, for anything else I have a 5 foot long walking stick that goes in first then I follow and turn on the light, if I can find the pull cord.

How's the bulk bullion doing? No explosions in the closet?

No explosions. The chicken boullion is 2/3 gone, the beef and tomato aren't moving as quickly. The chipped jar is still sealed.
