Hello, I am Kevin. I am having a difficult time with a firearm my father handed down to me a few years back. It is a Springfield model 187s .22 LR. I can not seem to find any literature or videos on how to take this gun down to clean. I have been able to remove the takedown screw and remove the barrel from the stock. However, I can not seem to remove the recoil plug because the safety is mounted on it unlike the model "A". Does anyone have a schematic of this gun or a video post on how it breaks down. It is in desperate need of cleaning and frequently jams from old carbon build up.
