I think it's a travesty, if someone yells fire in a theater when there is no fire, then it would be like a crime or if you were at the beach and someone was drowning but you didn't tell anyone so they could not help or if you yelled shark but there was no shark. If there is a serious crime and you help cover it up, that too seems like a travesty

I think people should be more concerned about such things. I don't agree with apathetic arguments to do nothing or not care. If these media or tech companies have too much power to censor perhaps they should be broken up. I think roosevelt broke up monopolies and it helped the country. Someone said monopolies in Germany and Japan where not broken up in the 1930s and it helped those countries become more fascistic

Xi's coughs came to mind as Twitter and Facebook prevented Americans from being able to read the New York Post's explosive allegations of influence-peddling by Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden has yet to deny these were his laptop, his emails, his images. If thousands of emails and images were fabricated, then serious crimes were committed. But if the emails and images are genuine, then the Bidens appear to have lied for years as a raw influence-peddling scheme worth millions stretched from China to Ukraine to Russia. Moreover, these countries likely have had the compromising information all along while the Bidens - and the media - were denying reports of illicit activities.

The response of Twitter and Facebook, however, was to shut it all down. Major media companies also imposed a virtual blackout on the allegations. It didn't matter that thousands of emails were available for review or that the Bidens did not directly address the material. It was all declared to be fake news.

The tech companies' actions are an outrageous example of open censorship and bias. It shows how private companies effectively can become state media working for one party. This, of course, was more serious than deleting coughs, but it was based on the same excuse of "protecting" the public from distractions or distortions. Indeed, it was the realization of political and academic calls that have been building for years.

Democratic leaders from Hillary Clinton to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) have long demanded such private censorship from social media companies, despite objections from some of us in the free speech community; Joe Biden himself demanded that those companies remove President Trump's statements about voting fraud as fake news. Academics have lined up to support calls for censorship, too. Recently, Harvard law professor Jack Goldsmith and University of Arizona law professor Andrew Keane Woods called for Chinese-style internet censorship and declared that "in the great debate of the past two decades about freedom versus control of the network, China was largely right and the United States was largely wrong."

Must watch video. Hunter Biden's lawyer claimed Hunter's ownership for the laptop and tried to retrieve it from the shop when its existence came to light. They have his email demands and phone call records. So it is all 100% confirmed to be Hunter's. That is why he has issued no denials, claims if hacking, or claims of foreign intelligence manufactured documents. All that is just fake narratives generated to deflect from the substance of these emails which is Joe Biden taking bribes from foreign powers. It also explains why Obama refused to support Biden until his arm was twisted, he received direct confirmation from security agencies that Biden was an agent for foreign powers.

Twitter admits the changes to their API were the cause of the outage, not a hack or attack like the media originally promoted. That's what happens when one rushes content control changes out earlier than planned.

Twitter is allowing Chinese and Iranian state media to push content while blocking a New York Post article that purports to show emails from Hunter Biden linking his father to his Ukraine business dealings.

The social media site followed Facebook Wednesday when it began blocking people attempting to share the article in tweets and private messages because the article violated its "Hacked Materials Policy." Twitter also locked users, including White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, out of their accounts for attempting to share the article on Wednesday.

The company did not comment specifically on why it does not block or label tweets from foreign state media condemning the U.S. ahead of Nov. 3 the same way it did the New York Post.
