We're gonna nuke Walking To Freedom Forum unless somebody speaks up pretty soon.

Info here: Keep this forum in operation, or not?

You can read that without logging in. If you're currently a member, and have an opinion about whether we should keep it running, please say something. (If you're not a member, you can't currently register -- we had to block registrations because of a spammer invasion and no staff available to stop it.)

I've never used it -- I'm only a member because of a previous spammer blast that I offered to clean up.

Jack says "I think WTF is dead and should be put down like a dog." If (when) we do that, I think it'll be a month or two before any members even notice!

Anyway, it's currently in a stable (spam-protected) state, and I've got other tasks to take care of before I get around to deleting it, so it'll be there at least a few more days.

I really like the idea of it....but I never used it. I went and saw that it didn't have much use in the states I was interested in.

No reply in 11 days, so yeah, it's gonna go, but nuking it is at the bottom of my priority list. I figure on setting aside a backup of the files and database, and replacing it with a simple webpage linking to this forum and a few other TSP sites.

I mean other TSP-related social media sites, like Jack's main TSP blog itself (the comments are fairly active), and the TSP Facebook and MeWe pages.

The sum total of all sites that Jack has started is humongous, but many didn't go anywhere, and some were spun off to other owners over the years.

TSP Wiki is, unfortunately, also dead. Looks like they had a spammer attack, and somebody tried to restore from an old backup, and now it's nearly unusable. I don't know whether it's possible to recover what's lost, or whether it's worth the effort.

That is unfortunate to hear. I really liked the page, but I do recall a lot of the history links not working, this must be part of what you are referring to with all the issues.

Is this something to see if someone inside the walking to freedom orginanization would want to take over to use? I mean what org puts on the events he speaks at? Maybe they'd be interested in reviving and utilizing it?

If there is any "walking to freedom organization", nobody has told me about it.

Still no responses from WTF Forum's current members, so making a permanent backup and nuking it is on my to-do-list.
