Tire valve stem sizes?

<< < (2/2)

Redman:
Greekman I strongly suspect that passenger car wheels all have the smaller holes for the stem unless of course they are for the high pressure tires. As you probably know you can read the normal cold and probably max inflation pressures on the side of the tire. That brings us to the compact spare tires which the ones I've seen specify an inflation pressure of around 70 psi I think. Does this take the larger diameter stem. I can't answer that except to say refer to those tables in your link or ask a car dealer maintenance shop or a tire shop.

Greekman:
no need...I have a regular spare :)  and my tires are 30-32 psi
