Malted Barley shelf-life?


Any thoughts on this one, folks? Brewers are cautioned that the dried malt extracts do not hold up reliably over time, and that grains do better in the long haul. Thoughts on storing malted barley for purposes of making beer? I imagine that mylar/oxygen absorbers would do the job much as with any other grain, but what about shelf life?

I've never had a problem with old malted barley.

They yeast is what will go bad over time.  It will get to where it doesn't activate and won't do it's job.
