Good points and counter points by all.
Maybe my first post was too blunt. However, that's me. I speak what I think and go straight for the answers.
Again, I'm not looking for a hate group or anyone out looking to start a fight. I believe that the militia is a defender of freedom, not an aggressor. I believe that being an able bodied male between 18-45 already makes me the militia. I'm just looking for like minded folks who are a little more prepared then the average Joe. If the time ever did come to defend ground I would like to already be trained in the art of "move, shoot, and communicate." I did serve in the military as a wrench but would like to expand my knowledge base on squad/platoon size movements.
I think I'll start with the Appleseed Project. Seems to be some like minded folk there.
Appleseed is not about "militia" training.
The majority of the class covers "basic" rifle marksmanship. To include field position shooting (Prone, sitting, kneeling, standing), Sling use, and the steps to fire the shot. We get into position changes and target shifts, Natural point of aim, Inches-Minutes-Clicks....
We do not get into small unit tactics.
Unless you consider coordinating with your friends (via letter, phone, email, letter to the editor, talk radio) to address our friends in govt.
We are mainly about waking up Americans. Getting them involved in our governmental process.
Welcome to the survival podcast and to Appleseed.
