Finally got me a pretty good knife.

A Kershaw Cyclone with the tanto blade. Ive never bought a "good" knife before just the crappy 15 dollar walmart variety. Gotta say I am enjoying it. Had to actually pull it out and use while wearing gloves and I gotta say the little spring assist thingy actually helps quite a bit. I just thought it was a gimmick.

I've been wanting a cyclone for a while now.  Glad to know someone got one and likes it.  I have a Kershaw Groove and Kershaw Leek.  I think they're great knives and the fact that they're made in the US helps a great deal.

Nice foot, btw.  ;-]

Lol I know I saw my foot and I almost cropped it out but it was late and I wanted to go to bed. And then I was gonna mention it in the thread but then I was like "Naw no one will even notice I bet".  Yeah the US made thing was actually a number one priority of mine. Ive always bought the made in Taiwan stuff before and I wanted something "good". I took it apart to clean it because it was full of mud and I didnt really pay attention to how it was put together. It took me alot longer than I care to admit to figure out how to properly reassemble it with that little torsion bar and all those copper washers and pins and stuff.

LOL.  Very cool on knowing the inner workings.  Glad you got it back together.  =-]

I really like the SpeedSafe feature on the Leek.  I also like the flipper on the Groove.  With the Cyclone (and the Mini-Cyclone), you can turn the SpeedSafe feature on and off.  =-D

I really hate how they do the combo edges now.  I think it probably technically works better having jutting teeth instead of recesses, but I like how the recesses look versus the teeth...

You guys are aware that the Cyclone (full size and Mini) are discontinued, right?
Some outfit on ebay has them for $38 if you jump on it soon enough.  I bought a couple there for friends, good service.
