Greetings All,
My name is Dale, and I hail from northern Canada. I'm 42, just celebrated my 19th wedding anniversary, and have 2 beautiful daughters. I'm an electronic technologist working in communications, and work in many remote locations (sometimes staying in world-class northern pike and lake trout fishing lodges).
I've been interested in survivalism since the 80s, but most information was on wilderness survival, which is fine in my locale. But this tends to only focus on the short-term. I came across TSP about November, downloading about 12 episodes. I instantly connected with what he was saying; a holistic long-term approach that wasn't the 'bunker-in-the-bush', cut-off from society approach as fringe survivalism is portrayed. He's logical and methodical, backs up his findings, and loves to attack conventional media dogma. His rants remind me a lot of myself. I like it.
I quickly realized I had to start back at episode 1 and work forward. I'm currently on the 1st anniversary show. I confess I've been 'lurking' through the forum for a while, but I hope to contribute something to the great community all of you have built here.
Cheers, and keep up the great work.
