Dear Friends

The 9th Missouri Chestnut Roast will be Sat., Oct. 17, 10am-4pm, in New Franklin at the Horticulture & Agroforestry Research Center. Some activities include:
•   MU Raptor Rehabilitation Project presentation at 10:15 am
•   Chef demo by Eric Cartwright of MU Campus Dining
•   an expanded children’s area
•   walking tour of biomass, water quality project, a new breed of oak tree
•   Bus tour of flood tolerance, silvopasture, alley cropping, pine straw & more
•   Beer sampling by Broadway Brewery and Kenny Duzan
•   Lots of cool new vendors and great previous vendors
•   Live music by Ghost River Revue

And of course ~ lots of roasting chestnuts! Roasted chestnut samples and chestnuts to purchase!
