Emergency Food Kits

I'm really into Food Preparation and Storage for Emergencies at the moment. Thankfully, we are just a family of three at the moment, however our in-laws only live 30minutes away. Does anyone else include in-laws or other family members that are relatively close to them, in their emergency preparedness?
