Super small fishing survival kit in a shoe polish can
(1/1)
CheshireCat:
When I was a boy I created a super small fishing/survival kit that fit in a shoe polish can. I used to carry with me when I went out day hiking. I wish I knew what happened to it and I've been meaning to make another one. To the best of my recollection here is what it contained:
-A couple yards of mono-filament line
-a few small hooks
-one or two swivels
-a razor blade
-a book of matches
-a packet of instant beef or chicken broth.
All that was needed was to cut a cane pole and I was good to go. If I can get a few used shoe polish cans I'm planning on making a few more and putting them in my vehicles, backpack, etc. It's a really convenient form factor and the cans are waterproof.
