well.....
I have been having programming perplexions with my Baofeng
1.
While programming with Chirp I noticed the tone Squelch Feature. which is seperate from the usual tone which I programmed for repeater use 67 and 88.5 in the picture.
Also, what is cross-mode?

I found a source for the difference of, but I cannot understand the difference
https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/DevelopersToneModes2. I ordered a triband Baofeng version, but what came did not seem to be triband (220Mhz).
The radio did not allow manually setting a frequency on the range
But since I sat down with Chirp I thought of tinkering the VHF range. I set the upper limit at 260 MHz and now it teansmits allright!

What happened? Was the radio triband capable from the factory and was just not activated?
Or did i set it out of specs?
thanks beforehand, greekman
