BLT Dip

BLT Dip

1 lb bacon, fried and crumbled or cut into small pieces *
1 c mayo
1 c sour cream
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
Garlic powder, to taste
2 to 3 Tbsp chopped green onion
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 tomato, diced
Optional: 4 or 5 dashes of hot sauce

Preheat oven to 350.
In a medium bowl combine mayo, sour cream, cream cheese & garlic powder.
Mix in green onions & cheddar cheese.
Add the bacon to the mixture.
Place in baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
Top with diced tomatoes after you remove dip from the oven.

Serve with crackers or chips.

* 3 small pkgs of Oscar Meyer Real Bacon Bits may be substituted for the lb of bacon

That sounds tasty!

I'll have to give that a try over the holidays. Too bad I don't have any fresh tomatoes.

It really does sound good. We have a big bbq as soon as the weather warms up, I'm going to add this to the appetizers.

The only reason I haven't tried it yet is because I'm waiting for good tomatoes.

That sounds really good.  I'm a fan of spicy foods, wonder how it would turn out if I replaced the tomato, onion and hot sauce with a can of Rotel?  I know that Rotel doesn't have the onions, but would put peppers in it.

It is good ... licked that bowl clean the other night. I like it with Vinta original crackers made by Dare.

@ fritz: Let us know how it turns out made with Rotel.

OMG! That sounds so good. mmmmmmm. My in-laws are coming over tomorrow for dinner.  I may have to try that as an appetizer.
