TSP DRT - Requirements and Resource list

<< < (2/8) > >>

bdhutier:
I would include IS 200 as a training requirement to 100 & 700.  If I were running a local group, we'd then expand over time to 800a, and other NIMS and ICS related courses like 230, 241, 244, and 454.  The more the team understands EM's roles and reach, the better we can help people left out.

I would think equipment would be determined by both the local team, and the incident.  There really isn't a "go kit" for this kind of stuff... you have to assess the incident, and determine from there what gear you feel will best serve your objective(s).

Nicodemus:
Where could folks go for these courses?

rikkrack:
A list like this would be great for the head coordinators to use in a database. I have WAY minimal database design and building skills but this would be great to say select;

North America -> Midwest -> Available resources -> from zip ##### a=

And you get who and what is available. Select what they need based on the situation, then hit send and e-mail/text message goes out to those that are available.

Not a negative, but what if your generator gets stolen, or you get a new skill/training/resource or you move. How would the list get updated. Because I complained about this here are two possible solutions.

User login and updated skills/assets page only modifiable by user.
or (because i say two)
1st of month a list goes to a central bot to inventory. (experience on small scale and it works, not sue how it would on larger scale)

Any thought go to the international listeners? I kinda overlooked that part of things.
