DIY Wind Power
« on: April 06, 2009, 08:44:47 AM »
I stumbled on this site while looking into wind power. I think these guys prolly have a few buckets of food tucked away.
If you have a little mechanical ability adapting these generators to any rotating power source would be relatively easy.
Being able to build my own generator from scratch is a good bit of junk knowledge to have tucked away.

Great website.  I immediate went to the steam engine battery charger.  Rather disappointing how little power it makes though.

This one was interesting:

I liked the lesson learned about not holding up the wind turbine with your bare hands.  :)
