I use a silver sharpie on my Glock mags, with my name and a number.

Thank you Phil, if I can get out of my room reservation without penalty then I will consider ridesharing. As for mags I have a **cringe** Taurus Millennium 1st gen 9mm (NOT Pro). Champion was a big help in getting the 2 extra I have but I canceled my order for 2 more after getting laid off, just couldn't justify that kind of money with no more coming in.....

I am bringing all 3 of my Glocks (19, 26, 34) and can bring my Ruger. The Ruger is closer to your Taurus than the Glocks. I have CompTac holsters and mag carriers for them.

I'm bring an extra Glock 19 as well.  You are more than welcome to borrow it.  You just have to promise not to outshoot me if you're using it!  ;)

Thank you both, you are both very sweet  :). I knew there were gentlemen left in the world! I hope to arrive early Saturday so we can all do an assessment of things then. I don't have much but I'm bringing everything I have and I will share with you all.  :) As for outshooting anyone I'm certain that won't happen!!!

Well, TXChikk, you'll probably be reloading like mad, but I'm sure you'll do fine.  =-]

I got y'all covered for ammo. I picked up 2000 Monarch 115FMJ at Academy at lunch. Guy didn't blink when I said I wanted that much either; just went to get an unopened case. They had at least 10k in stock.

Bad news is its $12 a box including tax >:(    Same stuff was $7.99 last summer.

I didn't know Monarch was actually made by Privi in Serbia. They make top notch .223 including the match ammo I use in Service Rifle.

It's good news that Academy has 9mm, several friends mentioned they had it. I do have a few boxes of the same and I think I paid a bit more @ Academy in Waco. I have very close to 1000 rounds now, just not sure how far off I am. Counting kinda got pushed to the back burner  :-\

Weird that you live in Hippie Central in Austin and they are out, and here in Greater Aggieland, we got lots. I'd bet everyone else around here did like me and stocked up last summer to avoid the rush and price hikes.

Man, I am getting pumped!  I find myself constantly metally checking my list of things to do and bring for the class.  I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone, having a great time, and most of all, learning a ton.

Weather has been fantastic all week.  Saturday looks to be warmer and it will most likely rain all 3 remaining days...  I'm going tomorrow to grab some Scotch Guard to waterproof my windbreaker.
(10-Day Outlook for Bastrop, TX)

Don't forget a camping chair, sunscreen, water (camebak is best).

Also, the obvious - pistol(s), ammo, holster, ammo pouch, cleaning supplies, hearty appetite for Saturday Night.  =-]

The other instructors and I will get into Bastrop Friday afternoon. We are staying at the Comfort Inn. If anyone wants to meet up to ask any questions about guns, gear or anything else just call my cell. You are also welcome to join us for dinner Friday evening (time unknown) or breakfast at the Taco Cabana at about 0730 (+/-) Saturday morning and then you can follow us to the range.

Cell: 731-336-4602

I look forward to meeting you folks!

When will you all be leaving there for the range? TxChikk, fitpro and I are all driving in together from College Station and it would be easier to meet up at Taco C than find the range. We were planning to get there ~8, so this isn't too much earlier than that.

I'll check w/ TBone from GOTX to see if he wants to do the breakfast thing.  At the very least, going to Taco Cabana would be a good rally point.

Is that TC posted 30.06, no CHL?  I know the ones in San Antonio are...

We will still be at Taco Cabana at 0800 but not too long after.
