Do these fuel filters work?

I was cruising the interwebs the other day and came across this possibly valuable add-on for my truck. Has anyone seen any reviews on these?
http://www.madhornets.com/1-2-28-aluminum-single-core-car-fuel-filter-for-napa-4003-wix-24003-od-1-358-for-car-use-ti/
I'm wondering if it is a useful add-on for my truck or a government trick to ensnare people.
I know there was an adapter you could use to attach an oil filter to a rifle or pistol to more easily clean your equipment with solvents. I only heard they were marginally effective though.

Read the details but not a lot of info. I suppose those are cleanable/re-useable gas filters.
More than likely they do work, but at $80.00.....
??
Probably marketed mainly to high end custom show cars and such.
