really good stuff. Been a follower of the Dervaes for over a year now and the family is a true inspiration. Here in zone 7 Colorado gardening outdoors, indoors, in the greenhouse etc is a challenge. But it is doable. Our little homestead combines alot of survivaL METHODOLOFGIES, including dumpster diving, and freeganism.. Something that is mentioned very little. Along with bartering etc.

This was the first podcast I listened to and what drew me to this site. I am so impressed with what they did on such a small piece of property! I really encouraged me to do more and keep my options OPEN. I love their video as well!

I have had their sites in my RSS reader for a while now too.

Love their stuff. It's impressive what they are doing.

Too bad they are having a slow year, they won't hit their 10k lbs they wanted to harvest this year.

That Monsanto stuff is alot of old news to us old timers. It is only the tip of the iceberg. really dig deep and find out how Corporations have been poisoning us for years, with or without our consent or knowledge.

Good article, thanks for the post. Although I don't live in sunny CA, they guy really shows what can be done. Even if I could do 10% of that, we would have 600 pounds of our own food a year.

Jordanne Dervaes, I too want to add a hello and thank you for being an inspiration. My hubby showed me a magazine article some time back and it has helped inspire us to continue planting even more in our garden. You should be proud to have accomplished so much. When do you have time to watch the soap operas? Just kidding!
